E-mails will be written in the language you write them in-there is no automatic translation. You can target a customer segment according to their preferred language.

All the Shopify plans starting from Basic, Shopify, Advanced Shopify, to Shopify Plus come with 10,000 free emails a month. If you exceed 10,000 emails beyond the free emails, you will begin to pay based on the number of extra emails sent. You can read more about email pricing in Shopify’s help pages.

However, Shopify lets you send as many as five campaign emails in a week; any can reach as many as 40,000 subscribers. There’s also the option of personalizing or using brand templates and choosing specific groups of customers for your emails.

Also, note that Shopify Email does not allow you to attach a file directly (such as a PDF) to an email. You instead upload your file in the store then add a link to this in the email.

Creating Shopify Email Marketing Campaign for your Store

Shopify lets you send emails to your newsletter subscribers from your store. You can create customer groups based on their interests and different demographics for specific targeting. For this, you have to:

  1. Enter Shopify admin, go to the Marketing section.
  2. Click Create Campaign.
  3. Choose Shopify Email.
  4. Customize email template.
  5. Click the To field to select a target customer group.
  6. Enter email subject.

Add a subject for the mailing to name your targeted group. When you input your subject name, your activity will be saved under that name. It can be changed anytime. After the targeted group has been created, follow the steps below to create your shopify email marketing

1. Log into Your Shopify Account

To get started, visit the Shopify website and log in with your credentials. Once logged in, you will have access to your store’s admin dashboard, where you can manage all aspects of your online store.

2. Enable Shopify Email

Go to the Apps section of your dashboard. Here, you can search for Shopify Email or locate it under the Marketing tab. If Shopify Email is not already activated, simply click on Add app to enable it.

3. Access the Email Section

From your Shopify admin, click on the Marketing option located in the left-hand menu. Once there, select Campaigns, and then click on Create campaign. From the available options, choose Shopify Email to start setting up your email campaign.

4. Select Your Audience

Now it’s time to choose your target audience for the campaign. You can segment your customers based on various factors, such as purchase history, location, or language preferences. Utilize the available filters to refine your audience, ensuring that your email reaches the right people.

5. Design Your Email Campaign

Shopify allows creating from templates already available or starting from scratch to develop your own. After selecting a template, click on the template to start customizing it.

Add your logo, brand colors, and specific fonts that characterize your business. The content part should have a rich subject line that is persuasive enough to encourage readers in opening up the message. Design an interesting and easy to read body of the email that will capture the attention of the readers on the images and calls to action clearly to engage the readers.

6. Personalize Your Email

Personalization can improve the effectiveness of your email campaign. Use Shopify’s features to include customer names and tailored product recommendations based on their previous shopping behavior. Make sure the content speaks directly to the interests of your audience, creating a more relatable experience.

7. Preview and Test Your Email

Before sending, preview your email as you would like it to be on both desktop and mobile. Shopify offers its Preview feature to this end. Test the email by sending a draft of it to yourself or a colleague. Test formatting, links, and a few other important things so everything looks just right.

8. Schedule or Send Your Campaign

When you’re ready to launch your email, you have two options. If you want to send it immediately, click on Send now. Alternatively, if you wish to schedule your email for a later date, click on Schedule. You will be prompted to select your preferred date and time for sending the email, after which you can confirm the schedule.

9. Monitor Campaign Performance

After your email has been sent, tracking its performance is crucial. Use Shopify’s analytics tools to monitor key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. This data will help you assess the effectiveness of your campaign and gather valuable insights for future emails.

10. Adjust and Optimize for Future Campaigns

Do adjustments in your email content, design, and targeting strategy by using the performance data you gathered for future campaigns.

Use an A/B test approach with different subject lines, designs, and content approaches to continually improve results and ensure high engagement.
